altThe Kings went into the Olympic break on a high note, shutting out key Western Conference opponent Colorado at home.  Jack Johnson had a dominant performance despite having travelled to Vancouver for the opening ceremonies, then back to LA for the tilt against the Avs.

altWatching the Opening Ceremonies of the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver I caught a brief interview with Kings defenseman Jack Johnson who is attempting the ludicrous trek up for the night, then an immediate return to LA for a tilt with Colorado tomorrow.

altThe Kings dropped their second straight game, this one in a shootout to the bottom-feeding Edmonton Oilers.  It was another game that lacked any sort of structure from Los Angeles, allowing their opponents to dictate the pace of the game.

altIt was a spectacular run but it had to end sometime.  If anyone could knock the Kings off their high horse it was a motivated Anaheim team.  Anxious to avenge their loss from last week, the Ducks beat the Kings with a score of 4-2.
